About the Journal

The International Journal of Community Currency Research IJCCR (www.ijccr.net), founded 1997, is the official publication of the Research Association on Monetary Innovation and Complementary and Community Currencies RAMICS (https://ramics.org/).

This peer-reviewed journal aims to provide a common forum for informed articulation and debate of empirical, critical and theoretical research on community currencies and monetary innovations. We seek to bridge the gaps in knowledge, practice and communication which exist between community currency ‘activists’ and ‘academics’.
